Hot and Cold

It was so therapeutic. The sound of the running water and the warmth of the water. My second try at the onsen.

The skin is our biggest brain. Isnt that what the advertisement says? The water felt lukewarm when I entered, compared to the last one that I had at Aomori. Or I must be really becoming more professional and like really hot onsen.

Since it was my second attempt, I had a better idea what to do and had a towel with me to scrub myself down. I also managed to pluck up my courage and strike a conversation with another lady. She was a real professional and she went to the onsen outside. I decided to follow and picked up certain tips from her.

1) Always remember to bring water with me.
2) It is okay to bring a small towel into the onsen.
3) Go into the onsen indoors if you are not used to the warmth, before you go to the one outside. Alternate it with cold water or the cold air a few times.
4) Rest before you dress as chances are you will be perspiring and have to dry yourself all over again.
5)Bring water with you of course.

Never been out at night. It was a clear night and I could see the moon and the stars. Since we are somewhat on the hill, I could see the twinkling lights of the city too. The lanes were so quiet, other than the rustling sound made by the monkeys. It was great that I could come out for a night walk after all the rainy nights.

As luck would have been the guest from Taiwan bought a 4-day ticket but he is leaving tomorrow. He offered me the ticket and of course I am going to pick it up from him tomorrow. Hopefully, the weather stays clear and dry!
