Nakimushi Yama 鸣虫山

Summer finally came. On the day that Sean left. On my day off. After the stormy weather yesterday, the sky in the morning was blue and cloudless. It was a fantastic morning. I decided to go up Nakimushi Yama 鸣虫山.

First station. The trek was easy enough.

Second station after half an hour. The view was breathtaking.

I really like the shades of blue in the background. Even though I could not get the light on my face.

The trail after that was arduous and I was in the jungle all alone. I must have gone quite far into the jungle as I could not hear the sound of the vehicles at all, but the sound of the birds, crickets and I think monkeys too if I was not mistaken.

The summit at 1103 m

The trail upwards

The mountains range from a distance

Quite exhausted by the time I reached the summit.

Going down the other way, it was a pleasasnt surprise to see the staircase.

Going down turned out to be just as difficult as going up. The path was slippery and really steep. The soil erosion was as bad as in Ledang.

My sustenance for the tired body - chocolate breadstick

Not in the best of moods

The map that I depended on, it was a good thing I did not delete the picture, shady as it may be.
