The trail was not difficult and at 2486m, there was no difficulty with the air too. But it took me longer than the estimated time as I took my time to talk to the people I met along the way. For a weekday morning, the mountain was considered to be quite lively.
Entrance to Mount Nantai after walking for an hour
Snow along the way
I cant get enough of the clear blue sky
Pretty colours of the volcanic ashes
Sounding the bell to inform the mountain deity
67 year old Obaasan, who loved climbing and gave me chocolate bread
Beautiful mountains around Nantai Yama
The tip of the other mountains are still covered with snow
Lake Chuzenji from Nantai Yama
The shrine was named after the Yama in the background
Kregon Falls once again
Beautiful falls
Picture for my mom
Chuzenji at dusk
Invitation by Zens friend to Matsumono, the place I have always wanted to go. So it is time now to say goodbye to Nikko.
