Sayonara Iwaki town

The baritone sound of the driver woke me up, announcing the arrival of Tokyo station. I felt that I haven't sleep at all, with the various stops that they made throughout the whole night. Everything seemed so surreal. As of yesterday, I was still listening to Cuckoo birds cooing from a distance, chatting with Fuyu-san and sawing away the logs for the Ohuro and looking at the clear blue skies and green trees in the horizon.

Though it has been only two weeks, I missed them already. It has been the most enlightening adn charming two weeks at the farm and it was very difficult to leave indeed.

Katsu-san has been one of the nicest hosts ever. He worked so hard himself but was thoughtful enough to give us a break. From making soba to building the house, he does not hesitate to roll up his sleeves to do any work and even volunteer to do the dishes at times. He was so generous with his wine that Chase and Vincent willingly helped to clear and obliging towards all our requests.

Jun-ko enjoys everything that she does, from watering the plants, removing the tangles in the net to cooking. She does everything so patiently and singing along the way. She has one of the most beautiful smiles and able to make fun and joy in all that she does.
