Nishimaki-san and family

I am here at the Matsumoto, at the hospitality of Nishimaki-san and his wife. Coincidentally, I was able to partake in the twin happinesses of the family - his 54th birthday, as well as the birth of his first grandson.

Late night birthday party

Sora - my omiyagi?

Red rice celebration for the newborn

Doting grandparents

Nishimaki-san turned out to be quite a culinary chef. He is a gyoza expert and made great curry too!

I think I had put on 5 kg in the 5 days that I had been here. We had gyoza for dinner.

There are plenty of fruit farms around the area. The apple trees that I missed at Annapurna

The forbidden fruit?

Can you guess what plant this is?

Tomatoes

Sweet corns

and its flowers

A prize for those who can guess what this is. I thought they were growing poppies!

A closer look for those who need.

Not the season for lotus, but beautiful nevertheless.

Another of my favourite girl
