つまごしゅく enroute Tianli, Nara

This is one of the oldest town in Nagoya. The town was the rest area for both men and horses since the olden days on the winding road leading from Nagoya to Nagano.

Many historical houses along the street

A better view

The strange link that binds Wang-san to the family.

Writing well wishes on wood fashioned in the shape of horses.

I used to associate conical hats with Vietnam. But you find it in Indonesia and Thailand too. Was it the great minds that think alike or the logical solution if one follows the law of nature?

A quick dip on a hot day only for the young ones.

There were a couple that were really nicely dressed up by the owners.

The stopping point just before Nara. Guess what place this is.
